Continuous High Five World Record Attempt

On Friday we were part of a fundraising event for the local children's hospital and a number of other charities. We had 2000 children from over the West Coast complete com a continuous high five. The event raised $20,000, what a great result.

Baby Gorilla - great writing

We watched a video about the baby gorilla at Bristol Zoo in England. We found out
-it is a girl
-she has no name yet
-she wears a nappy
-she drinks milk from a bottle like a baby
-she was 1kg
-she is brown
-she is fluffy
-she lives at the zoo

We are really excited in Room 15 this year to have some new blogging friends from around New Zealand. We will be connecting with our learning through our blog and are going to have a lot of fun along the way. Make sure you check in on the blogs to see what exciting things we've been up to.

Here are our new blog friends

There are links to our friends blogs on the left hand side of our page. If you visit our friends it would be great if you could leave them a comment.

Some of our graphs we made! We found out heaps about our new friends in Room 15!

Our first 2 days of school in 2016!

We have had a great time so far here in Room 15. Here's some of the things we have been up to...

We have been on an alphabet hunt. We had to figure out which letter was missing. It was the letter R for Miss Robinson!
We played a really cool game. We had to dance on our piece of newspaper and Miss Robinson gave us some instructions too like dance on one foot and we had to stay on our piece of paper. Every time the music stopped we had to fold the piece of newspaper in half. It got really tricky, it was sooo much fun!
We played a fun game to get to know each other a little bit better. We had to close our eyes and pull put an M&M. We had different things we had to share for each colour M&M. We loved this game!
Here's us reading to self and doing word work during reading.
